COACH
Will was born in Denton, TX. He moved around the metroplex with his mother and sister after his parents divorced in ‘97, but ended up back in Denton County with his father by 2003. He was a troubled teenager with almost no discipline. His father taught him to play baseball and he even made the high-school team. He dropped out during his senior year and got married. He was convicted of his first two felonies at the age of 18. After spending his 21st birthday in state prison he decided that wasn’t the place for him. His father took him back in after he was released and put him to work. His father kicked him out at 24 and things got rough. After wasting a few more years he wanted to level up in life. He moved to Bedford in 2022 after his divorce, and got a real job as an alignment tech at a local tire shop. He started going to a local “globo gym” daily, but it wasn’t enough. A close friend told him “crossfit is where it’s at”. After a quick Google search he was headed to Crossfit Gallant to see what the hype was about. The rest is history! He has excelled in all other areas of his life since meeting Drew and the gang. His father even picked up the phone last year and offered him his job back! He obtained his personal trainer certification in December of 2023, then decided to start working on the L1 course to become a coach at CFG. Starting crossfit was, by far, the best decision he has ever made.

An old soul trapped in a young man’s body, Stevie was born in Columbus, Ohio in 2000 and has moved more than a handful of times, totaling five moves before graduating high school. Exploratory at heart, there wasn’t much that wasn’t worth trying from a young age; baseball, basketball, sailing, skiing, swim, cross-country, and track and field made up most of his time from a young age but especially pole vault. After life made some tough decisions, Stevie rerouted his competitive drive and exploration into Crossfit with the help of his sister Kate. Stevie quickly fell in love with not only the atmosphere, but the community and life of the gym, and decided to be a contributing factor becoming a coach in June of 2023. Stevie’s desire to share and help stretches beyond the gym, as a pilot and an in progress flight instructor here in DFW. Coach Stevie can always be found coaching with an optimistic attitude, a coffee in the early morning, jorts on if the weather permits and when he’s not in the box; flying, hiking, with his animals Juno and Houdini, and touring the breweries

I started CrossFit in 2012 and like many others got addicted to the methodology, to the community and to the physical and mental changes I have seen on myself. I complete my L1 CrossFit Trainer certificate in 2015 and the L2 In 2019. Most of all I love following athletes from when they show up on their first class not yet realizing their potential and then helping achieve greatness.
